Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an Associate Engineering Project Manager to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of structural projects. The Associate Project Manager position requires leadership and communication skills. In addition, Associate Project Managers need to have varied structural design experience and comprehension, have the ability to monitor project progress, and develop project schedules and proposals. You will be involved in production and coordination of multiple projects concurrently with the responsibility of coordination and reviewing the details of their projects while developing the engineering design and organizing the drafting staff.
General Job Duties and Requirements (including but not limited to):
โ€ข PE (Professional Engineer) Licensed in state of California (minimum)
โ€ข Create project schedules and communicate deadlines.
โ€ข Create proposals and budgets.
โ€ข Verify project budgets and modify as needed.
โ€ข Participate in monthly invoicing, including worksheet review and invoice preparation for current client's base.
โ€ข Manage projects through all phases.
โ€ข Develop and maintain client relationships and maintain a client base of 5+ clients.
โ€ข Attend and participate in weekly Manager's meetings.
โ€ข Maintain job scheduling sheets and employee schedules.
โ€ข Develop and maintain a professional relationships with staff.
โ€ข Support and/or participate in annual reviews.
โ€ข Coordinate with field personnel regarding any of your projects that are scheduled for observations/inspections.
โ€ข Maintain up to date records in job folders (Including but not limited to, design documents, proposal/contracts, extra service documents and relevant correspondence.
Additional Job Duties and Requirements:
โ€ข Provide structural design for projects under other project managers and Principals.
โ€ข Involvement with 2+ community organizations.
โ€ข Participate in one of MKM's Committee's.
