Job description

The Associate Engineer - Cust Svc position entails assisting in various aspects of call center operations, including planning reviews, productivity target revisions, time studies, and workload forecasting.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in developing call center procedures, workflow processes, work measurements, and facility layouts in accordance with ergonomic standards.
  • Assists in determining facility requirements for call center operations, such as the number of positions, locations, and size.
  • Develops procedures and work standards for call center network operations and other departments that handle customer calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Additional Details

The ideal candidate will have foundational exposure to Lean Management and Project Management, with experience supporting Continuous Improvement and Business Process Improvement efforts; strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively in team environments; and working proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data, create clear reports, and help present actionable recommendations under the guidance of senior engineers.


This position will be hybrid in Collierville TN and candidates must live withina 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week. Relocation assistance may be available based on business need.


Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in industrial engineering or related engineering discipline. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Demonstrated knowledge in engineering, planning, or standards development for operations required.
