Role: Data Modeler Location: Irving, TX Duration: 3 months CTH / Contract only As per the client update Candidates need to have Java, Weblogic / WebServer, and / or TomCat experience Skills Ability to prepare a conceptual data model based on user requirements Serve as a communications liaison between the business Customer and the technology development and support groups Participate and lead discussions on logical and physical data modeling with business and technical teams in support of the enterprise data model; maintenance of enterprise data model through extension and customization Engage with software quality teams and other organizations to ensure that quality standards are met Partner with appropriate infrastructure team regarding logical to physical database design to ensure high scalability and availability Assist business analysts, developers, and related organizations to understand and use an agreed formal model, the concepts of the organization and how they relate to one another College degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent education preferred. 5+ years database modeling/design Experience in a Modeling role, analyzing and executing projects. Experience with Oracle 9i or higher, SQL Plus, Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be proficient with the prevalent Data Architecture/Design principles in this field and have the ability to clearly understand logical and physical data modeling techniques and optimize them for the project requirements. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in a structured and concise manner. ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to assume a high level of responsibility and to work independently in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment. Must have the ability to partner and work effectively with multiple levels of management to develop and implement Company plans. Must be proficient in developing and delivering presentations to medium-to-large audiences including senior leadership. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, ppt, etc)
