Position Summary:

The Associate Data Engineer supports executive decision-making and strategic planning by streamlining, maintaining, and analyzing financial data and information. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of financial and operational data across the organization. Working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams, the Associate Data Engineer analyzes data, identifies trends and opportunities, and delivers actionable insights that help drive informed business decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a business-minded approach to transforming complex data into meaningful findings and recommendations.


Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Data Integrity & Reporting Tools
    1. Maintain data flow & integrity between ERPs and consolidation reporting/BI software
    2. Integrate numerous data sources & uploads into reporting/BI software or data warehouse
    3. Assist in the development of new reporting capabilities & KPIs
    4. Assist coworkers in learning reporting software
    5. Maintain accesses/security to reporting tools
  2. Segment Financial Analysis
    1. Build and maintain reports used by segment and company management to make crucial operating decisions
    2. Analyze data and look for business growth or savings opportunities
    3. Meet with segment and business leaders to understand business needs
    4. Integrate new acquisitions into financial analysis reporting
  3. Budget & forecasting
    1. Lead select businesses or segments through the entire annual operating planning process (AOP)
    2. Dedicated resource to local or segment presidents on forecast assumptions, including providing recommendations or analysis
    3. Create tools & templates to enhance the budgeting process
  4. Responsible for management reporting & analysis and support of executive, board & investor relations materials, including:
    1. Segment level financial reports
    2. Customer, Vendor, and Product Analysis
    3. Payroll and HC Analysis
    4. Net Working Capital Analysis
    5. Rate/Volume analysis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or 3 years experience is required; preferably Computer Science or Data Engineering
  • Strong SQL skills required; experience in Python, Snowflake/data warehouses a plus
  • Knowledge of Power Automate and ETL tools
  • Strong analytical mind and quantitative skillset is required
  • Self-starting attitude with internal drive to succeed

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate cameras, computers, lighting, and production equipment.
  • Minimal travel by car or plane

Work Environment:

This position is primarily on-site at our headquarters located at: 188 Inverness Dr. W Ste. 675 Englewood, CO 80112. Regular in-person attendance is required Monday through Thursday. Friday is an optional remote workday.
