Job description

JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Business Systems & Intelligence
REPORTS TO: Director, Business Systems & Intelligence
JOB LOCATION: Remote - U.S. based
TRAVEL: Up to 10%
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining data ingestion processes, data models, and report visualizations within our BI platforms. The BI Analyst will design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide valuable data insights to business stakeholders. The BI Analyst will also be responsible for the implementation of new BI solutions and reports, participating in requirements gathering activities and leading development efforts. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, data analysis, and effective communication to deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support business intelligence reporting work, providing data insights and visualizations in alignment with business objectives.
  • Work within Power BI or similar reporting engines to analyze and integrate data from multiple systems and repositories, creating accurate and efficient data models and visuals.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing reports or solutions, adapting to changing business requirements.
  • Work within an agile framework by tracking work tasks and time spent.
  • Maintain and administer data models, connections, and ETL processes within MS Fabric or other BI tools.
  • Lead business intelligence reporting work, providing data insights and visualizations in alignment with business objectives.
  • Create supporting documentation for new solutions, processes, and reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization, content management, and process automation needs, translating these into BI solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of application reporting and development experience .
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Reporting experience with Salesforce, Intacct, Jira, Wrike, or similar business systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):
  • Proficiency in data modeling and analysis using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience in querying databases for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience connecting Power BI to various data sources and an understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft Certified: Power BI, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
  • Experience in programming languages relevant to business systems (C#, JavaScript, HTML).
