Job Summary:

The RCM Senior Data Analyst supports the Revenue Cycle Management Analytics team by providing reporting, analysis, and data insights that help improve operational and financial performance. This role partners with Revenue Cycle Operations, clients, and the analytics team to understand business needs, develop reports, validate data accuracy, and communicate findings. The Senior Data Analyst performs complex analyses, supports reporting initiatives, and contributes to data-driven decision making across Revenue Cycle Operations.

This position requires a solid understanding of Revenue Cycle processes, healthcare reporting, and analytical techniques. The Senior Data Analyst works independently on assigned projects while collaborating with team members and business partners to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reporting. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support analytical projects that help Revenue Cycle Operations monitor performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Revenue Cycle processes and reporting solutions.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work with operational stakeholders to understand reporting needs and assist in developing reporting requirements.
  • Present analytical findings and reporting results to department leaders and business partners.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Developers to support report development, testing, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Build collaborative working relationships with operational teams and business partners.
  • Support consistent reporting definitions and validate KPI calculations across assigned reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Highly detail oriented and organized with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Advanced SQL and Data Visualization platforms (Power BI, Qlik, etc.) a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems such as Meditech, Oracle, Medhost, FinThrive, SSI, Experian or similar platforms a plus.
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle metrics, operational reporting, and KPI measurement.
  • Ability to interpret reports / dashboards and communicate findings.

Work Experience, Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, Revenue Cycle, Finance, Business Intelligence, or Revenue Accounting.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership through advanced analytics and reporting.

Travel Requirements:

  • No more than 25%.
