What you'll accomplish with us

iAGAM is seeking a motivated and experienced investment professional to join its Investment Strategy & Client Solutions team, dedicated to client relation management and business development. Reporting to the Senior Director, Investment Strategy & Client Solutions, you will partner closely with portfolio managers and business development teams by combining technical expertise and your communication skills to support the organization's growth, as well as income and asset retention. You will also participate in a broad range of projects and activities.

As a Senior Analyst / Associate Director) Investment Strategy & Client Solutions you'll be at the core of our mission.

Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional client service.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of iAGAM's clients, the investment process and the strategies.

  • Act as a product specialist for fixed-income, equity and multi-asset investments. If required, support portfolio managers during in-person or virtual meetings with existing clients and prospects.

  • Support portfolio and client relationship managers in client-facing and advisor-facing channels during different industry events, contributing to thought leadership and insights on markets and our investment products, by effectively communicating iAGAM's principles, investment approaches and processes, our competitive advantages, and our portfolio positioning and outlook.

  • Contribute to creation, review, quality control and maintenance of marketing documents and presentations, writing portfolio commentaries, due diligence materials and monthly/quarterly client reports.

  • Update investment databases and respond to consultants' DDQs and prospects' RFPs/RFIs.

  • Proactively collaborate with our distribution partners' wholesaling teams to ensure that financial advisors, investors, consultants and other decision-makers have access to our investment and marketing content.

  • Support the organization and coordination of the investment team's marketing and sales events.

  • Liaise with the Fund Oversight and Management team, Sales, Product and Marketing teams to support client servicing with performance and strategy update data.

  • Participate in adhoc projects and activities.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 5-7 years of experience in the asset management industry, preferably with an institutional clientele.

  • Is known for their Strong organizational skills with the agility needed to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage deliverables with strict timelines and who is a great team player, analytical, critical thinking and attention to detail.

  • Has a Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance, business administration, or other related fields. CFA or CIM designations preferred.

  • Stands out for their Highly self-motivated individual who will be committed to sustaining and growing our assets

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences with varying degrees of investment knowledge, and ability to discern and adapt to different levels of sophistication.

  • Is recognized for their In-depth knowledge of global financial markets and investment products and who's willing to travel

  • Proficiency in French and an advanced level of English are required, as the individual will need to communicate and deliver presentations to internal and external clients across Canada on a weekly basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is between 80 000$ and 120 000$ CAD + bonus per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
