Their main duties include onboarding new clients, addressing customer inquiries, and helping to resolve issues to ensure satisfaction and retention. They often work closely with other teams, such as sales and support, to provide a seamless experience. Additionally, they may track customer feedback and usage data to identify opportunities for improvement and help customers achieve their goals with the product.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an associate customer success manager, and why are they important?

Job description

About Fulfyld
Fulfyld is an e-commerce fulfillment and logistics company headquartered in Madison, Alabama. We partner with growing brands to manage their inventory, fulfillment, packaging, and day-to-day logistics operations.
The Role
This is not simply a people-management position. We're looking for a builder and operator; someone who will lead our Account Management team both day-to-day and at the strategic level: coaching and developing the people on it, while rethinking the processes and systems that shape how it operates. You'll personally drive the changes needed to take Customer Success to the next level, supported by our executive and operations teams.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop our Account Management team.
  • Establish a proactive, scalable approach to client management.
  • Identify processes that need to be created, standardized, automated, or improved.
  • Develop SOPs, playbooks, escalation procedures, and client-management workflows.
  • Create visibility into client health, risk, retention, and team capacity.
  • Improve how responsibilities are divided between Account Management, support staff, and Operations.
  • Strengthen our processes around onboarding, account reviews, escalations, and retention.
  • Serve as an escalation point for important client relationships.
  • Partner with Operations and leadership to identify recurring client issues and fix their root causes.
  • Use data, technology, and automation to improve both client experience and team efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience leading an Account Management, Customer Success, Client Services, or similar team.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing processes, not simply managing within existing ones.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills.
  • Experience working in a growing or rapidly changing organization.
  • Strong analytical and operational thinking.
  • Ability to turn recurring problems into scalable solutions.
  • Comfortable working across departments and handling high-pressure client situations.
  • High degree of ownership and a strong bias toward execution.
  • Experience in 3PL, fulfillment, logistics, e-commerce, supply chain, SaaS, or another operationally complex environment is preferred.
What Success Looks Like
The right person will help Fulfyld create a more scalable Account Management organization with:
  • Better client health and risk visibility.
  • Clearer processes and ownership.
  • More consistent client experiences.
  • Stronger team accountability and development.
  • Better use of technology and support resources.
  • Less dependence on individual institutional knowledge.
Benefits
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Employer-Paid Life Insurance
  • Supplemental Benefits (Short-Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, and more)
  • Parental Leave
