Location: Bergey's Corporate Office- Souderton, PA
Summary:
Obtains, enters, and maintains financial data and accounting records by performing the following duties in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Essential Duties
  • Lead two Chevrolet and one Cadillac Accounting Department which consists of five direct-report team members
  • Oversee the accounting practices and internal controls of all departments across the three dealerships in accordance with company policies
  • Monitor and control all posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions, vehicle inventory, etc.
  • Continually optimize/implement processes to maximize efficiency and data integrity throughout the dealerships, collaborating with dealership management as necessary
  • Maintain current and accurate accounting schedules
  • Prepare monthly financial statements according to dealership guidelines within the manufacturer's time frame
  • Responsible for monthly commission sheets for sales and F&I team members
  • Meet with dealership management monthly to discuss performance to Plan and Prior Year
  • Work with corporate teammates on various reconciliations including floorplan and finance reserves
  • Assist with the bank reconciliation process for transactions at the three stores as needed
  • Act as a resource for accounting-related questions from the various operational departments
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including the filing and/or maintaining of required forms
  • Stay abreast of PAA Bulletins, NADA Guidelines, and current trends/changes within the industry
  • Maintain administrative controls for various 3rd Party Systems such as OEM Sites, VITU, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Automotive Office Manager or Automotive Staff Accountant experience is required
  • Managerial experience is preferred
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with teammates, internal customers, and external customers
  • Maintain a professional appearance and atmosphere in the office
  • Experience processing title work for all states is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driving license and successfully complete pre-employment background checks and drug screening
