POSITION SUMMARY
Electrical Reliability Services, Inc. (a Vertiv Corporation company) is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Contract Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Contract Administrator at Electrical Reliability Services, Inc., you will be a key member of our operations team, supporting the business by ensuring that terms and conditions align with internal risk thresholds and commercial requirements. In this role, you will lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management for service sales contracts and will review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of customer orders and sales agreements. The successful candidate will be expected to leverage analytical skills and have a basic understanding of legal and business considerations to resolve contractual matters. The Contract Administrator will collaborate cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders and Sr. Program Manager, while maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation. This position will be located in Westerville, OH.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managehigh volume of time sensitive service contract reviews and maintain accurate and up-to-date contract databases and documentation.

  • Identifycritical differences between our standard service terms and conditions and customers' terms and conditions (e.g., payment terms, indemnity, limitation of liability, insurance, etc.) and assist with resolving discrepancies. Understands the broader legal and business implications of contractual provisions.

  • Draft and Propose Alternative Language that resolves negotiation points efficiently and aligns with company goals.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, Legal, Risk Management, and others, to ensure that sales contracts support company objectives, follow established levels of approval, and are properly executed.

  • Monitor the contract approval process, ensuring timely and consistent results that align with sales revenue goals.

  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as necessary, supporting the goals of the business teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher.

  • 1-3 years of experience in contract review, negotiation, and administration, with a focus on commercial service contracts.

  • Experience in interpreting, drafting, and negotiating contract language.

  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and high-volume workloads calmly, effectively and independently.

  • Strong analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to consider both legal and business implications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with external customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other document management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience working for a U.S.-based large corporation, preferably in a contract management, legal, or paralegal role.

  • Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).

  • Advanced knowledge of standard commercial service contract terms and related documentation (e.g., proposals, purchase orders, etc.).

  • Previous experience in a law-related setting (paralegal, contract review, etc.) is a plus.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new information systems and tools.
