Role Description

This full-time Civil Engineering Professional role is an on-site position based in Tallahassee, FL. The role involves supporting civil engineering design for site development, transportation, utilities, and water resources projects, including preparing plans, calculations, and technical drawings. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and communicating with clients and external stakeholders as needed. The Civil Engineering Professional will assist with permitting, report preparation, and construction-phase services such as reviewing submittals and responding to field inquiries. The position also includes contributing to project schedules, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure that all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with experience applying engineering principles to infrastructure and site development projects.
  • Knowledge of Water Resource Management, including stormwater systems, drainage design, and related regulatory considerations.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and permitting agencies.
  • Project Management capabilities, such as organizing tasks, tracking progress, and supporting delivery of projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is preferred, or a clear path toward licensure.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools), and strong technical writing skills for reports and documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tallahassee, FL, manage multiple assignments, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Civil engineering: 4-5 years (Preferred)
  • AutoCAD: 3 -4 years (Preferred)
  • Civil 3D: 2-3 years (Preferred)
