Job description

Job Title: Systems Support Specialist Location: Adair, Oklahoma Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Security Clearance: (not specified)

Overview

System One has an exciting opportunity for a technical specialist with focus in ERP systems support. This is a stable, well-established organization located in Northeastern Oklahoma offering benefits and an excellent work environment. Qualified individuals will need to possess at least 3 years of experience in supporting ERP systems and providing desktop, technical support to internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general IT technical and administrative support, including troubleshooting desktops and printers, workstation setup, RDS server/VPN maintenance, internet and phone connectivity, software updates, and software-related inquiries.
  • Support the company's ERP system (Sage 300), including creating inventory part numbers, maintaining customer price lists, troubleshooting plant accounting, and modifying reports.
  • Assist with company and GLIPM webstores, troubleshooting, data organization, posting updates, marketing, and adjustments.
  • Help identify, convert, and train on automated processes within the ERP system, creating SOP documentation as needed.
  • Provide manufacturing accounting and inventory support, including data entry, file management, raw material transfer, and cycle counts.
  • Document procedures for IT administration, accounting, and order processing; recommend system updates for efficiency.
  • Prepare analytical reports on inventory, purchasing, sales, and trends upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
Responsibility details include working with ERP systems from a manufacturing perspective, with experience in modules such as order entry, shipping, invoicing, AR, AP, and inventory control. Candidates with ERP system migration experience, particularly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Sage X3, are preferred, especially as the company plans to transition from Sage 300 to these systems. Experience with webstore maintenance and system support is highly valued.

Preliminary Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, business analytics, or data science
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT helpdesk or system support role
  • Must have direct experience using ERP systems
  • Preferred: experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Sage X3
  • Preferred: ERP system migration or implementation experience
  • Experience with webstore maintenance

Technical Competencies Required:

  • ERP Proficiency: Understanding of ERP concepts including inventory management, order processing, and manufacturing modules.
  • General IT Support: Troubleshooting network issues, user access/permissions, and hardware setup.
Preferred:
  • Database/SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting, queries, and data migration.
  • System Integration: Knowledge of data movement between systems via APIs or ODBC.
  • E-Commerce/Webstore Management: Interface with Webstores for inventory sync, order download, and customer data.

Project & Analytical Requirements

  • Data Integrity & Cleaning: Ensuring accurate and clean data during ERP migration.
  • Software Troubleshooting: Identifying root causes of errors beyond immediate fixes.
  • Workflow Mapping: Document current manual processes to replicate or improve during ERP setup.

Soft Skills Required

  • End-User Empathy: Maintain professionalism and patience when assisting frustrated users.
  • Process Discipline: Follow protocols to maintain system stability.
  • Communication: Explain technical issues to non-technical users and liaise with ERP vendors.
