Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Assistant Director, Business, Revenue, and Technical Apps to join our Business, Revenue, Technical Apps Sub Area team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
The Assistant Director, Business, Revenue, and Technical Apps is responsible for the strategy, performance, and alignment of the technology that supports the revenue cycle and business operations for the Department of Health and the Department of Family Services. The Business and Revenue Applications Assistant Director lead and champions efforts to implement, adopt, and validate the business and revenue-related components of the Epic EHR. They ensure the system functionality is designed and delivered to support business and revenue cycle information needs. They collaborate with operational leadership, finance, quality analytics, and IT to develop, implement, and maintain software solutions to support optimal care delivery and healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads and develops application, technical, and support teams across the Epic platform, including managers, analysts, and technical specialists
  • Defines and executes the strategic roadmap for Epic revenue cycle, business applications, and related systems
  • Partners with the executive leadership in Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, and IT to prioritize initiatives and align resources
  • Oversees configuration, optimization, and support of Epic modules including Prelude, Cadence, Referrals, Resolute Professional and Hospital Billing, HIM/Coding, Claims, Charge Router, Cheers, Welcome, Home Health Billing, Cogito, Clarity, Caboodle, and related tools
  • Ensures system design supports scheduling, registration, charge capture, coding, billing, claims processing, and denial management
  • Collaborates with operational leaders to improve workflows, reduce rework, and strengthen revenue integrity
  • Provides oversight and coordination for Epic environments, releases, and system maintenance
  • Supports the development and maintenance of dashboards, reporting, analytics, and data tools to drive operational and financial performance
  • Guides teams in supporting initiatives related to revenue optimization, cost management, forecasting, and performance improvement
  • Ensures systems support regulatory requirements, payer expectations, and organizational standards
  • Partners with leadership on vendor relationships, service delivery expectations, and procurement-related activities
  • Ensures teams follow best practices for documentation, testing, project management, and system support
  • Drives continuous improvement through analytics, automation, and workflow optimization
  • Implements short-, medium-, and long-range departmental goals aligned with the Epic Applications Officer
  • Participates in governance, steering committees, and Epic User Groups to support organizational strategy and collaboration
  • Ensures all team members complete required training and support ongoing professional development
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • 7 years directly related management experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience

Education:

  • Masters Degree in directly related field

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required

Credentials:

  • Pass general background check
  • Completion of the Sphinx Assessment
  • Epic module certification as assigned
  • CN Core Leadership Level 2

Essential:
  • Must hold one or more Epic certifications is required within the first 90 days of employment and/or within 90 days of starting Epic certification training
  • Must be completed within 18 months of hire.
