Job description

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
$26/hr
This position is strictly temporary until the end of October or early November.


Position Summary:

Develops and implements production methods to for manufacturing processes. Coordinates with Product Development, CNC Programing and other support groups to develop production methods. Ensures existing and developing production methods are in compliance with all engineering and quality requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in coordination with program and functional teams to plan, configure, interpret, and maintain manufactured parts, components and assembly designs based on customer requirements using appropriate computer aided software
  • Conduct appropriate review and distribution of customer engineering, specifications and configuration plans
  • Maintain and interpret customer engineering databases (drawings, specifications and processes)
  • Coordinate engineering changes with internal and customer teams and assures entry into engineering and ERP database
  • Support production, program management, procurement and quality in interpretation of engineering documentation
  • Support customer engineered products with non-conformance rework/repair recommendations
  • Consult with customer and internal team members on customer build-to-print product non-conformance issues
  • Other duties as required


Required Skills:


  • General knowledge of general aircraft parts and component machining, assembly engineering structure, configuration management principles and processes
  • General knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems appropriate to PCC facility products
    • (i.e., Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)).
    • Catia V5 preferred
  • Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., interrogate CATIA models to extract measurement data)
  • General ability to develop, maintain and modify mechanical designs based on configuration requirements
  • Ability to provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Blueprint creation and reading skills
  • Appropriate math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint primarily)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and as required, help and/or train others


Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering
  • 0-3 years of related experience
