Civil Engineer


CTI and Associates, Inc. (CTI) is a provider of geotechnical and environmental consulting, engineering, remediation and construction services to federal, state, municipal and commercial clients across the United States. CTI is seeking a Civil Engineer who is experienced in Construction related activities with a focus in Quality Control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and clarification on contract, project, and or construction deficiencies.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance during the engineering process, ensuring all project components function as intended.
  • Utilize Resident Management System (RMS) on a routine basis.
  • Verify and assist with preparing documents for change orders and claims.
  • Stop work, reject materials and/or equipment, and direct the removal and replacement of any work not in compliance with contract documents, applicable codes, building standards, and/or established principles of construction engineering, or activities which present life-threatening conditions or damage to the site.
  • Assess potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions during project execution.
  • Communicate and interact as a team member with all trades, manufacturers, suppliers, construction staff and customer representatives, in a professional manner.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Currently hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License (required).
  • 10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects (required).
  • Ability to complete frequent/reoccurring construction inspections that involve physicality such as walking, climbing, stooping and bending at various elevation and uneven terrain.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid REAL ID Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
