Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Offer counselling, prayer, and emotional support to patients and families.ย 

  • Collaborate with medical andย behavioralย health teams for patient-centeredย care.ย 

  • Conduct spiritual assessments and provide faith-based resources asย requested.ย 

  • Support staff and caregivers during times of crisis, grief, or moral distress.ย 

  • Maintain documentation of patient encounters in compliance with healthcare standards.ย 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSย 

  • One (1) of the following required:ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in an unrelated field plus two (2) years of pastoral, spiritual or medical experience in an agency or institution.ย 

  • Associateโ€™s degree in a related field plus two (2)ย years experienceย as a chaplain.ย 

  • Ordained, commissioned,ย licensedย or endorsed by a pastoral/spiritual communityย required.ย 

  • Experience or training in pastoral/spiritual careย required. This could be training such as Stephen's Ministry, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), coursework leading to ordination or equivalent.ย 

  • This position requires the use of the employee's personal automobile.ย 

  • Employee must have a valid driver's license and auto liability/property damage insurance as required by law and mustย maintainย their vehicle in good working order.ย 

  • Must be able to travel for work assignments at multiple points of care.ย 
    Master's degree preferred.ย
