Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital

Department: Spiritual Care 

Schedule: Rotating | PRN

What You Will Do
  • Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive spiritual and religious counsel to patients, families, and associates experiencing emotional or spiritual distress.
  • Consult with patients, families, and the medical team on complex ethical decisions, providing values-based guidance and making appropriate referrals as needed.
  • Lead the planning, organization, and evaluation of local ministry spiritual programs to ensure the effective execution of all spirituality initiatives.
  • Strengthen the local ministry and community connection by performing appropriate pastoral services, including prayer and blessings.
What You Will Need

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE required.
  • 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE preferred.
  • Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Human Behavior or a related field preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
