Position Title: Associate Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Location: Pensacola, FL (Hybrid)
Clearance Requirements: None
Position Status: Contract - 6 months
Pay Rate: $30 - $40 per hour
Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join a growing analytics team. This role is ideal for an early-career data professional who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
As an Associate BI Analyst, you will develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help business leaders monitor performance, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, analyze data from multiple sources, and deliver actionable reporting solutions using modern Business Intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and business opportunities
  • Create meaningful KPIs, scorecards, and visualizations that support strategic business decisions
  • Develop SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple data sources
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports that provide actionable business insights
  • Support root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve operational performance
  • Assist with forecasting, performance measurement, and business process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure data quality by validating, cleansing, and reconciling data across multiple systems
  • Follow established data governance standards and report any data inconsistencies or quality issues
  • Participate in team projects, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Present analytical findings and visualizations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Business Analysis
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, data extraction, and query optimization
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI platforms
  • Experience working with large datasets from multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of data integration, cleansing, validation, and transformation techniques
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Experience analyzing KPIs, business metrics, and operational performance
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or enterprise reporting systems
  • Experience using Python for data analysis is preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
