About this opportunity

The Associate Business Analyst is a member of the analytics team who supports the business by standardizing reporting, analyzing data, and assisting the Systems Analysts in ensuring processes will meet business needs as well as building from their work. The Associate Business Analyst identifies organizational reporting needs, and key performance indicators that assist management in making data driven business decisions. The position also works closely with other departments across PAM to synergize departmental assets in order to achieve company goals.

Pay and Schedule

This position is Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The pay range is $55,000 to $65,000 dependent on experience.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support department reporting needs and report structures
  • Work alongside Systems Analyst to develop data models and measures
  • Perform basic data analysis to help the business and systems analyst understand the data
  • Work with others and communicate effectively across the business as well as IT personnel
  • Participate in development and deployment process as needed
  • Research and help define key metrics across the organization
  • Maintain reports and evaluate their usage

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Skilled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SQL or MySQL queries (not required, but helpful)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Applications (not required, but helpful)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Background knowledge of transportation industry helpful
