Business Development Manager range - $96,300 - $107,000

Primary Purpose of Position

The Renewal Account Manager II is responsible for proactive renewals, post deal support and customer satisfaction of the accounts assigned to them. This role is sales focused and responsible for optimizing margin and customer retention. The Renewal Account Manager II should be capable of identifying opportunities to provide proactive customer strategies and value add products.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for renewals by proactively developing relationships and providing support to increase customer retention. Responsible for house accounts (no BDM alignment) and those customers aligned with their assigned BDMs within their tiers. Communicate and work collaboratively with all teams.
  • Demonstrates proactive behaviors to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Strong ability to connect the dots between the customer and their objectives to form an energy management strategy to meet their needs.
  • Design and lead implementation of enterprise-wide DEI and Workforce Development strategies to increase diversity and foster inclusion identify and report metrics to measure progress.
  • Design and manage marketing programs, segmentation, targeting, pricing, and communications strategy to support and grow the business
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, or via email.
  • Performs quality and timely proactive customer calls and learns to read queues from customers to adjust strategic content.
  • Knowledge of systems/processes as well products/services to ensure a best in class customer experience.
  • Responsible for proactive expansion of customers by adding accounts or executing on referrals. Drive diverse products by cross selling: alternate commodity, EMO/MVPe, Charge Point, EME, Managed Products, Biogas, etc.
  • Understand and clearly communicate value proposition of most products and components.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
  • In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - Associate Business Development Manager

  • Business degree and 2 years of experience, in lieu of degree 6 years of experience
  • Outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to large groups.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Minimum Qualifications - Business Development Manager

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-years relevant experience, in lieu of degree 9 years of relevant experience
  • A wide network of contacts within the business community, federal government, elected officials, and public interest groups
  • Organization and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • 5-years business experience, preferably in sales
  • Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric, nuclear, and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products
