Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking an Events Coordinator to join our Marketing and Community Relations Department in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full-Time, Exempt
  • Work Shift: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with availability to flex schedule to support events occurring outside of normal business hours

What Your Day Looks Like: The Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing fundraising events, community outreach programs, health initiatives, and employee and special events.

As an Events Coordinator, you will be:  

  • Managing event logistics, including site selection, vendor registrations, and recruitment and coordination of event volunteers and PRN staff
  • Developing and maintaining event timelines, project plans, planning checklists, event records, schedules, attendance data and post-event evaluations
  • Coordinating with marketing staff to promote events, develop event signage, decorations, and displays and promotional materials
  • Obtaining quotes, processing purchases and assisting with event budgeting and expense tracking
  • Ensuring events comply with organizational policies and applicable safety, accessibility and privacy requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in event management, hospitality management, marketing, communications, business administration, public relations or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Skills and Experience: Two years of related experience required; ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Licensure/Certification: Friends and Family CPR within 6 months of employment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, and to carry up to 25 lbs.
