BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Skilled in CAD modeling and drafting.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (Machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)
  • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good understanding of basic mechanics and machine design.
  • Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in automation or product development processes from concept to production.
  • Ability to assist in the creation and building of fixtures for optomechanical experiments.
  • Experience with and a desire to gain expertise in designing injection molded, and sheet metal parts.
  • Skilled in NX modeling and drafting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Update 2D and 3D CAD models to accommodate design changes.
  • Create and manage technical documentation (e.g., BOMs, I/O lists, P&IDs).
  • Perform basic engineering analyses.
  • Build and maintain CAD models that integrate into complex assemblies.
