Overview
Job Summary
Analyze, maintain, and provide ongoing optimization and support of Baptist OneCare applications. Possess knowledge of clinical and operational systems as related to user security design and build. Perform system builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as needed. Support application analysts through all phases of implementation, optimization, and maintenance through security requirements. Work with cross-functional team and end users to achieve integration to meet clinical and/or business needs. Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of original, creative, intellectual work. Incumbent is subject to callback and on-call as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities
• Assists in implementation of clinical and revenue cycles systems and associated projects to meet
organizational objectives and strategies.
• Analyzes problems, recommends improvement and develops appropriate action plans utilizing Baptist Management System Tools to promote transformation and ensure successful implementation.
• Completes testing of security design and build using established standards and protocols.
• Provides ongoing support of Epic and other applications under area of responsibility.
• Performs assigned system and account security activities, including basic system testing, password and account maintenance, network and web application scanning, and identification of potential threats such as vulnerabilities or malicious activity, with oversight as needed.
• Uses established security tools and procedures to support authentication controls, breach response processes, and firewall or encryption reviews, escalating issues in accordance with defined protocols.
• Assists in translating application and business requirements into documented security requirements, prepares routine status updates, and supports security risk analysis efforts by gathering data and providing input to senior analysts or leadership.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
Experience
Minimum Required
3 years of experience supporting information systems, application security, or healthcare IT systems.
Preferred/Desired
5 years of Exposure to clinical, revenue cycle, or operational healthcare applications (e.g., Epic or similar enterprise systems) preferred. Experience with system security design, user access provisioning, or role-based access controls preferred. Experience participating in system implementations, upgrades, testing, or optimization efforts preferred.
Education
Minimum Required
Appropriate Technical Education/Training/Certification (Epic Security Certification and/or Entry-level or foundational certifications such as: CompTIA Security+ HCISPP or similar healthcare IT/security
credentials).
Preferred/Desired
Bachelors Degree or higher (in related field) OR equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
Special Skills
Minimum Required
Aptitude and skill in communicating and performing the techniques of information systems assessments.
Preferred/Desired
Proven experience that demonstrates advanced knowledge of complex computer design and support.
