Documents and promotes designated technical standards, piloting new technologies in coordination with architecture, and ensuring proper handoff to delivery and support organizations. Provides high level leadership through individual subject matter expertise and leading team members supporting enterprise connectivity systems including LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks, Data Center Operations (equipment, not facility), VOIP, Network Security, Network Access Control, DNS, and Load Balancers.Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:

Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and four (4) years of work experience in communications systems, data center networking design and implementation, cabling/fiber, project management or information technology infrastructure with 1 (one) year of supervisory or leadership experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required:

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP), or Certified Wireless Networking Expert (CWNE). If not certified, must obtain post-hire within twelve (12) months.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Deep understanding of network segmentation and networking protocols (EIGRP, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QOS). Data Center Operations and networking experience. Experience leading Voice over IP infrastructure including Call Center implementation. Demonstrated project experience with large-scale networking platforms, applications, automation and services implementations. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills. Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Demonstrated leadership (vision/budget/direction/personnel/project management skills). Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Network Monitoring Systems: Solarwinds Orion NPM, Netflow, Stealthwatch. Load Balancers: Citrix Netscaler. Proven deployment of Network Access Control (NAC) technologies like Cisco ISE. Expertise with network technologies: OSI layers 1-7, Firewalls, Wireless, and Ethernet. Experience with Cisco, Dell, F5, Palo Alto hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Possess deep technical knowledge, understanding the business and customer needs to introduce solutions that solve business problems using Technologies and Security Tools: Nexus, Catalyst, ISR Routers, ISE/TACACS, Wireless, ISE, Cisco Prime, FirePower, 2 Factor Authentication, NSX.
  • Manage a team of network engineers and SMEs working with our vendors and network operations team to build, scale, deploy and support our enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Manage Voice over IP infrastructure and service.
  • Work closely with enterprise architecture to ensure alignment plans. Document and promote designated technical standards and pilot the technology. Lead the evaluation and selection of Network products.
  • Ensure that industry best practices are incorporated into standard solutions delivered. Embrace and implement standard configuration and change management processes and practices.
  • Lead the resolution of level 3 incidents, problems, changes, release management efforts to ensure high levels of customer service and SLAs are met.
  • Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
