Accounts Payable LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator in Richmond, VA. This is a contract opportunity with a growing and fast paced company.   • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approval, coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and contracts when applicable.
  • Prepare and process payments by check, ACH, wire transfer, or other approved methods in accordance with payment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including payment terms, tax information, and banking details.
  • Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding invoice status, payment timing, and account discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research differences to ensure accounts are current and accurate.
  • Monitor aging reports, identify overdue items, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting support.
  • Maintain organized records for audits, compliance reviews, and document retention requirements.
  • Support process improvements, internal controls, and efforts to prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, invoice processing, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
