Role Mission:

As an Account Manager, your primary focus is driving new sales development โ€” proactively identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities to expand our footprint with both existing and prospective accounts. Working closely with the Kurz Inside Sales and Product teams, you will hunt for new opportunities, negotiate sales agreements, and manage projects from prospecting through close to ensure growth targets are consistently met.

Alongside this new business focus, you will grow and develop existing accounts by building long-term relationships and maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs based on their operational processes and business practices. Communication with customers via face-to-face meetings, phone, email, and social media will be required to develop and uphold these relationships, while use of the internal CRM/ERP platforms will support pipeline visibility, selling efficiency, and processing accuracy.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Improve product related sales by becoming a technical resource at key prospects and existing accounts.
  • Present and link customer needs to our core product line such as Electrical Motors, VFDโ€™s, Controls, Gearboxes, PT Components and Repair Services.
  • Effective communication with the inside sales team to assist in quoting, processing sales orders and project management for our customers.
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and come up with creative solutions.
  • Develop strong supplier/vendor relationships to obtain accurate information regarding availability, shipment, and delivery dates.
  • Identify and close new client opportunities and manage the process.
  • Maintain your Sales Pipeline keeping up with open and expiring opportunities.
  • Use your existing customer network to generate new business through referrals.
  • Effectively use our CRM/ERP platform to communicate with the Kurz team using tasks, events, and opportunities to further new and/or existing business
  • recommending best product needs based on cost, availability, performance, or specifications.



Competencies

  • Associates or bachelorโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is a must.
  • Minimum of three years sales experience required
  • Technology savvy with the ability to learn quickly
  • Previous experience in industrial, electro-mechanical repairs, distribution or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and remotely under guidelines from management.
  • Aptitude to learn industrial processes and the equipment that make them happen.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including client and employee relations.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member in a collaborative fast- paced sales environment.
