We are seeking a Principal Associate, Project Management who is passionate about masterfully managing cross-functional stakeholders and balancing project scope and timelines. In this role, you will manage strategic, high-priority projects that drive meaningful business outcomes. From day one, you will own critical responsibilities and collaborate with passionate, forward-thinking peers to deliver exceptional results. This role offers the opportunity to partner with key leaders across teams and push the boundaries of your project leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead moderate to large complex brand projects enforcing SLAs and cross-functional accountability to maintain project timelines e.g. brand guidelines, website redesign

  • Design, develop, and adapt project plans in a fast-paced environment, revising requirements as needed to meet shifting goals

  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation and governance to proactively manage risks and guarantee on-time delivery

  • Leverage strong problem-solving and analytical skills to ensure project execution aligns with business intent

  • Serve as a strategic and tactical thought partner to project partners and cross-functional teams to drive seamless delivery

  • Build strong relationships and leverage outstanding communication skills to inform, align, and influence stakeholders at all levels across the company

  • Quickly implement clear frameworks and organization to effectively manage work within complex workstreams

  • Continuously refine workflows, templates, and project management tools to eliminate bottlenecks and improve the team's creative output

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 3 Years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters or MBA degree

  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience

  • At least 1 year in Brand Strategy, Marketing or Advertising

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Project Manager

New York, NY: $131,800 - $150,500 for Principal Project Manager

Chicago, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager

Riverwoods, IL: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
