PAY RANGE:ย ย $31.00 - $45.00/Hour, Based on Experience
PROGRAM DATES:ย  July 6, 2026ย - August 14, 2026
ORIENTATION:ย  July 1, 2026 (Mandatory) & July 2, 2026 (Optional for new staff/classroom set up)
JOB DESCRIPTION:ย The Assistive Technology Specialist provides services to identifiedย students and districts, including: assessment, intervention, consultation and training.
TYPICAL DUTIES:








ย 

ย 
  1. Conduct evaluations.ย 
  2. Select and design materials and equipment.ย 
  3. Assist in the acquisition of Assistive Technology equipment.ย 
  4. Coordinate services through consultation with families and staff members.ย 
  5. Train students, staff, and family members in the use of assistive technology.ย 
  6. Provide technical assistance including troubleshooting and repair of assistive technology equipment.ย 
  7. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by Administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:ย  ย  ย  ย  Prior experience teaching students with special needs is strongly preferred.
Education:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  New York State certification in Special Education, Speech, Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired, orย ย New York State License in Occupational Therapy.
