Job Overview
Welcome to Oak Meadows, located in beautiful Oakdale, MN! From our spectacular senior living campus to our dedicated staff, we are committed to delivering excellent care, engaging activities, and a strong community for our elderly assisted living/memory care residents. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator.
This is a casual role! Day shifts. Help fill in for needs ahead of time for and for last minute support.
Maintenance Assistant position role supports monitoring preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment for the assisted living/memory care. Trains other building staff, as needed, on basic trouble-shooting of building systems and equipment. Support keeping ground /outside work.
Repair Position Responsibilities
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure and grounds. This includes the following:
  • Repairs items found deficient by maintenance or requested by work orders.
  • Changes filters and check belts on air handle units.
  • Checks kitchen equipment.
  • Greases, checks belts and oils on laundry equipment.
  • Helps in housekeeping as requested.
  • Assists with moving boxes, furniture, etc.
  • Maintains shop in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Removes snow from sidewalks and walkways and uses ice melt on sidewalks as needed (where applicable).
  • Trims around bushes, trees, and sidewalks.
  • Removes debris and downed palm fronds (where applicable).
  • Keeps grounds safe and looking neat and attractive.
  • Processes work orders and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists with turnover of apartments for new residents.

Required Qualifications
  • 1 year
  • Experience with mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
