Allegria Village is a premier senior living community located in Dearborn, Michigan, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing services on one vibrant campus. We are dedicated to creating an environment where residents feel valued, respected, and supported while providing our team members with the resources, collaboration, and support they need to succeed.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Assisted Living Coordinator to provide leadership and operational support for our Assisted Living community. This role is ideal for a dedicated senior living professional who is passionate about enhancing the resident experience, developing strong teams, and ensuring the highest standards of service and care.

Position Overview

The Assisted Living Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall success of the Assisted Living community through effective leadership, team development, operational oversight, and resident-focused service coordination.

This position plays a key role in ensuring residents receive individualized support while partnering with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to promote quality outcomes and a positive living experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion and support the Universal Care Manager model throughout the Assisted Living community

  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train team members to build a strong and engaged care team

  • Manage staff scheduling, staffing levels, coverage needs, and daily timekeeping review

  • Support team performance through coaching, communication, and ongoing development

  • Develop, maintain, and update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) based on resident needs and preferences

  • Coordinate resident care meetings, in-services, and collaboration with healthcare partners and internal departments

  • Conduct pre-move-in family meetings to understand resident history, preferences, routines, and support needs

  • Monitor resident conditions and changes in needs, ensuring appropriate communication and follow-up

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Resident Services documentation system

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and quality standards

  • Assist with departmental operations, including supplies, resources, and budget management

  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, teamwork, and exceptional service

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, healthcare, hospital, or senior living environment preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience, including staff scheduling, coaching, training, and team management

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered service

Education & Certification
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Additional healthcare or senior living education/certification preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and stretching

  • Regular use of a computer for scheduling, documentation, communication, and administrative tasks
