Program Assistant At Augusta Teen Center

Join a team dedicated to creating meaningful, engaging experiences for teens in a supportive and energetic environment. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about youth development, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to make a positive impact. If you're organized, team-oriented, and ready to learn, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills while making a difference.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in planning, leading and implementing programs and general activities
  • Provide high quality outdoor, educational and recreational experiences for teens
  • Assist in the creation of a weekly programming schedule.
  • Assist in daily programming activities.
  • Help in keeping daily attendance and meal records.
  • Ensure the general safety of the club & its members.
  • Act as a mentor to the teens by participating in programing appropriately.
  • Suggest new ways to improve the club.
  • Assist program management as needed.
  • Foster a work environment that's inclusive, as well as diverse, where people can be themselves.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday after school and occasional weekends / 16 hours per week

Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to assist, lead, plan organize and implement program activities.
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Knowledge/Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • No experience necessary. Will train.
