Job Description Legal Assistant Downtown Toronto Our client a top tier law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is in need of a hardworking Legal Assistant with Corporate Commercial or Financial Services experience to assistant a senior partner. This role would be perfect for a self motivated individual who thrives on being busy. Responsibilities & Requirements: Prepare, draft, edit and finalize closing agendas and all transactional documents relating to lending and corporate transactions Organize and track delivery of closing documents Draft renewal agreements for lending transactions Prepare annual resolutions Compile Record Books Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients Proofread and check documents Diarize and track deadlines Produce the highest quality of work Handle a high volume of daily administrative tasks Manage duties related to accounting Accountable for all work assigned Arrange meetings Calendar management Minimum of 5 years' previous experience as a Legal Assistant in Financial Services or Corporate Law Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Knowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison program Overtime, as required Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands Skills: Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents Familiarity with iManage and DocuSign Ability to problem solve Good judgement and decision making Strong interpersonal skills Interested candidates should apply in confidence to slinds@lindsassociates.com We thank all applicants for their interest in this role however only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
