We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, personable, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.Reports to: Drs. Lauren den Boer, Christopher Sun, Sok Kau TangResponsibilities Greet and register patients in a professional and friendly manner. Screen patients for infection symptoms and direct appropriately. Enter and verify patient demographic, contact, email, and health card information. Provide, explain, complete, and collect required forms. Answer a multi-line telephone system and book appointments. Collect payments and prepare invoices. Maintain a clean and organized reception and waiting area. Complete daily opening and closing procedures. Manage patient interactions professionally and de-escalate challenging situations. Complete patient recalls, diagnostic test follow-up, correspondence, scanning, and referral processing/tracking. Complete EMR tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes. Work collaboratively with physicians and professional staff to support efficient clinic operations and patient care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Secretarial Program and/or related Office Administration program preferred. Minimum one year of relevant medical office experience. Avaros EMR experience highly preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong computer skills. Typing speed of approximately 60 wpm.
