Crouse’s Orthopedic Unit specializes in patients being treated for musculoskeletal system issues and recipients of physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy. The Orthopedic team is hiring a Nursing Assistant.

The Nursing Assistant performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.

Pay Range: $20.15 - $26.92 /hour (based on experience).

Nursing Assistant Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking of vital signs.
  • Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
  • Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of patient care experience, an equivalent combination of patient care experience with a healthcare training/skills class, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.
