Job description

OVERVIEW

As a Video Editor/Animator, you'll be responsible for editing video content, creating motion graphics and delivering high quality work that brings our clients' campaigns to life. You’re knowledgeable about modern video editing and animation applications stay current with industry trends and techniques. You’ll collaborate frequently with creative professionals, producers and project managers. You’re adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines and tracking time. You’re an organized and responsible data steward, ultimately crafting best-in-class deliverables from short-form social media to long-form videos.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit and animate finished video content for distribution across multiple channels.
  • Create captivating motion graphics that elevate storytelling and aligns with creative direction.
  • Build polished deliverables from detailed briefs, scripts and storyboards, as well as develop concepts independently within established guidelines.
  • Manage and organize video assets while maintaining a clean and accessible project file structure.
  • Collaborate with fellow creative professionals, producers, account managers and project managers.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Stay current on output specs and best practices across multiple channels (social, streaming, broadcast, digital and more).
  • Accurately track time spent on projects using established agency practices and tools.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator in a Mac-based environment.
  • Understanding of video production workflows, file formats, codecs and delivery specs across platforms.
  • Ability to interpret creative direction and execute with precision—and to ideate as needed.
  • Strong organizational habits and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset.
  • Exercising safe asset management and data stewardship, protecting agency and client assets.
  • Able to work with a wide range of video and audio quality, including color correction and audio optimization.
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and independently.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Agency or production house experience strongly preferred; digital experience an added plus
  • Digital portfolio with body of work example
  • Video production experience a plus, not required

  • Hybrid work opportunity; 3 days a week onsite in the Minneapolis office
