POSITION: Guest Services Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Guest Services & Security Manager
FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

THE ROLE
Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Guest Services Coordinator. The Guest Services Coordinator performs front of house, guest services, and security efforts as they relate to the facility and surrounding grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by welcoming guests to the venue, being knowledgeable of venue layout, programs, and policies.

  • Answer questions, direct and/or escort guests to important areas of the venue (restrooms, ATMs, dining options), and provide additional assistance whenever necessary.

  • Knowledge of all facility protocols to help ensure guests are safely following protocols while inside the facility.

  • Reporting any injury or unsafe area to supervisor and act as a member of the emergency evacuation team by communicating and directing guests during an emergency.

  • Assist with pre-event briefing.

  • Assist in the direction of the guests

  • Provide guests with directions to their ticketed seat and other areas of the arena as needed

  • Recognize potential guest and safety issues, report incidents and concerns to supervisor

  • Provide the guest with the best possible service - listen to all issues/concerns and requests for assistance

  • Act as the liaison to clientele for coordinating specific training initiatives.

  • Address questions/concerns for guests when necessary.

  • Assist in monitoring and responding to emails.

  • Create briefing, deployment, and sign in sheets for each event

  • Staff and operate the Guest Services Desk during events which includes the building's Lost & Found

  • Operate as point person for guest access to Sensory Room and Mother's Nursing Room

  • Serve as ADA Facilitator during events.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred

  • 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with various methods of training

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Goal orientated, team player.

  • Easily adapts to change.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
