Job Title: Transportation Supervisor
Location: Des Moines, IA

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Transportation Supervisor based out of our Des Moines Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. We distribute to 11 different states across our 5 locations. Loffredo Fresh Foods believes that our employees are the key to a successful future. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people, and can confidently balance day-to-day transportation operations with problem-solving and team support. You’ll play a key role in keeping deliveries running efficiently while helping develop and support our driver team.

Pay: $65,000 - $70,000

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Start Time: 5 AM

  • Class A or B CDL license preferred
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support the transportation team on daily operations
  • Maintain and update truck maintenance records and tracking spreadsheets
  • Monitor shuttle truck arrivals and departures
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate transportation logistics
  • Work directly with drivers on runbacks and route support
  • Review and manage trip reports and transportation documentation
  • Assist with driver onboarding and training
  • Support hiring efforts for transportation team members
  • Serve as backup support for routing operations when needed
  • Step into delivery routes as operational needs arise
