Job description

Job Title: Assistant Track Coach

Category: Athletics/Activities/Coaching
Location: Craig Middle School
Date of Availability: Spring 2026 Season 
Date Closing: Open until Filled
Position:  Craig Middle School is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and team oriented candidate to fill an Assistant Track Coach position.
*Salary:  Actual salary placement will be determined based on experience, starting at $2,000 per season.







Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The Assistant Track Coach reports to the Head Track Coach and Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting with the Track program at the Craig Middle School.  Leadership is to be provided by the coach in the following areas:
-Assisting with coordinating all levels of the program and summer/off season programs
-Implementing of expectations and direction of the program 
-Preparation of team and individuals for competition
-Teaching fundamental and advanced skills
-Communication with parents, players, school staff, media, etc.
-Following school and CHSAA regulations and policies
Required Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Previous track coaching experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of track/jumps/hurdles. 
-CPR/First Aid Certified
-Be willing to be part of a team environment
Preferred:
-Knowledge of all aspects  of the Moffat County School District athletic/activity programming
-Proven leadership qualities and successful experience in working with high students
Benefits include: PERA retirement, and other optional benefit elections.  Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week as defined by their position are also eligible for the district's health insurance.
