Job Description: Assistant Operations Manager

Overview
Vayan Group is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support quality inspection, project coordination, and customer relations across multiple manufacturing sites. The Assistant Operations Manager supports the execution and oversight of daily operational activities across assigned sites. This role works closely with Operations Leadership to ensure customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Assistant Operations Manager plays a key role in staffing, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives while helping drive performance across teams in fast-paced manufacturing and quality environments.
Key Responsibilities
- ·      Support daily operations across multiple sites, ensuring projects are executed on time and within scope
- ·      Assist in managing site leadership and frontline employees, including scheduling, performance oversight, and coaching
- ·      Partner with HR and recruiting to support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning needs
- ·      Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards
- ·      Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, quality, and attendance
- ·      Assist in resolving customer concerns, quality issues, and operational escalations
- ·      Support implementation of standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)- This includes scrapping out of rejected material, locating suspect material, tracking how much material is in house and transit and what has been sorted.
- Yard Management and Logistics- familiar with global vehicle tracking, Management of vehicle holds and releases
- Quality Response System (QRS)- Responding to line calls and placing information into QRS tickets for quality resolution tracking.
- ·      Conduct site visits and audits to ensure operational consistency and compliance
- ·      Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, Quality, and Finance teams
- ·      Assist with budget tracking, labor cost management, and operational reporting
- ·      Provide leadership support during new program launches and high-volume project
Requirements
- ·      2–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a related field
- ·       Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
- ·      Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- ·      Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
- ·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); HRIS experience (UKG preferred) is a plus
- ·      Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- QMS, ISO, or AS9102 certification a plus.
