The Dishwasher at Parker Hospitality plays an essential role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and safely. Responsible for the washing, sanitizing, and restocking of all dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, this position ensures every department has what it needs to deliver an outstanding guest experience. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Wash, sanitize, and dry all dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper dishwashing sequence and restaurant specifications.
2. Safely operate and maintain the dish machine and all associated cleaning equipment; identify potential problem areas and notify management promptly.
3. Ensure all cleaned items meet cleanliness and sanitation standards before being returned to service.
4. Maintain a consistent pace throughout service to prevent backup of dirty dishware, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
5. Identify cleaning supplies and their designated uses; notify management when supplies are running low and need to be replenished.
6. Read and use a thermometer correctly and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
7. Assist with the general cleanliness of the back of house, including floors, surfaces, and restrooms.
8. Check garbage for restaurant supplies such as silverware and ramekins before disposal; empty garbage regularly and maintain a clean, covered garbage area.
9. Return and restock all cleaned items to the appropriate area after sanitizing procedures are complete.
10. Move safely through all areas of the restaurant, including stairs and uneven or slick surfaces.
11. Complete all assigned side work thoroughly and to standard.
12. Promote teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude among all coworkers.
13. Communicate clearly and professionally with all team members and management throughout the shift.
14. Wash hands regularly in accordance with food safety guidelines.
15. Accept direction and constructive feedback from management.
16. Maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout every shift.
