Position Summary:
The Culinary Technician plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Nothing Bundt Cakes Test Kitchen. This position partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Learning & Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations to execute product testing, validate processes, and support brand initiatives.
This role is responsible for maintaining an organized, efficient, and fully operational test kitchen environment, while also contributing to product development, training content creation, and operational excellence initiatives. The Culinary Technician will support both behind-the-scenes execution and high-visibility brand and support center events.
Accountabilities/Duties:
Test Kitchen Operations & Maintenance (50%)
  • Maintain overall organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the Test Kitchen
  • Manage inventory, receiving, storage, and product rotation
  • Ensure proper handling and tracking of ingredients and supplies
  • Coordinate will-call pickups and grocery runs as needed
  • Support efficient kitchen workflows and adherence to food safety standards

Product Validation & Documentation (40%)
  • Support product formulation and recipe development processes
  • Assist in validating and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Execute operational testing to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Support with Quality Assurance to evaluate ingredient alternatives and redundancies
  • Support with Learning & Development to produce training materials, including photos and videos

Cross-Functional & Brand Support (10%)
  • Assist with execution of marketing photoshoots and creative content development
  • Support PR, brand, and support center events
  • Participate in test planning, product preparation, and on-site execution
  • Provide hands-on support for initiatives that enhance brand experience and operational excellence
