Responsibilities typically include preparing ingredients, following detailed recipe instructions, performing taste tests, recording results, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. These roles are crucial in ensuring recipes are reliable and can be recreated by home cooks or consumers. Assistant Test Kitchen staff often help troubleshoot recipes, assist with food styling for photography, and keep detailed notes on recipe modifications.
