Job description

CWS seeks a Technical Manager to provide technical oversight for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Network Operations Center (NOC) contract NOC. The Technical Manager provides technical oversight for network infrastructure operations, modernization, and performance improvements across the CBP enterprise.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead Tier 2 technical teams supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Manage performance optimization, tool integration, and architecture enhancement.
  • Oversee software updates, patch management, and release documentation.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to the Program Manager.
  • Review system logs, analyze trends, and recommend technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Engineering.
  • 6+ years in senior-level network engineering or architecture.
  • CCNP or equivalent certification.
  • Proven leadership and troubleshooting expertise.

Preferred Qualifications
  • CCIE and ITIL v3 certifications.
  • DHS or Federal enterprise experience.

Place of Performance
  • Springfield and Ashburn, VA (with possible travel to Orlando, FL, and other CBP facilities).

Clearance
  • Must have favorably passed a full five (5) year background investigation (BI) required by CBP policies and procedures for employment prior to beginning work with CBP.

$110,000 - $160,000 a year
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. The posted range is appropriate for a typical candidate meeting, at a minimum, all the core requirements of the position.
