Position Summary
One of the top hospitals in Brooklyn, is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner for their TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) unit. This is a DAY position and offers a 10hr shift. This role also comes with union benefits and a strong salary/benefits package.
Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift:
  • Day Shift, 10hrs shift
Key Duties:
  • Provide advanced clinical care to TAVR and CTICU patients, including comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of complex cardiothoracic condition
  • Monitor and manage patients with advanced hemodynamic needs and cardiac assist devices, ensuring timely interventions and optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Coordinate care across the continuum, including pre-procedure evaluation, post-operative management, and discharge planning for TAVR patients
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education to support the growth and excellence of the structural heart program
Qualifications
Licenses and Certification:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in New York.
  • National certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in cardiology, heart failure, or structural heart programs.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage complex patient care needs efficiently.
  • Previous experience with Cardiothoracic, CICU or structural heart patient management (with knowledge of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac assist devices.
  • Will consider newly Licensed Nurse Practitioners as long as you worked in TAVR or CTICU previously as a Registered Nurse
