Job description

An established general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support a large-scale $45M senior living project in Durham, NH. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple ground-up buildings and renovations while working closely with an experienced Superintendent on site. Client Details Our client is a well-established construction management firm with decades of success delivering complex projects across New England. Known for its relationship-driven culture, collaborative leadership team, and strong client retention, the company provides employees with excellent exposure to diverse and impactful work. Description Assist the Superintendent with daily site operations on a $45M senior living development consisting of five buildings, including four ground-up structures and one addition/renovation. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and quality standards. Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Support project documentation, reporting, and communication using Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Participate in subcontractor meetings, site walks, inspections, and punch list activities. Help maintain schedule adherence while managing quality control throughout all phases of construction. Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and resolve field challenges. Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and client expectations. Profile 2-3+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer in commercial construction. Experience working on occupied facilities, ground-up construction, renovations, or additions. Project experience in multifamily, commercial, education, hospitality, healthcare, country club, or similar sectors preferred. Experience with warehouse or manufacturing projects alone will not be considered. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. OSHA 30 certification required. CSL license preferred but not required. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Must be able to work full-time on site in Durham, NH. Candidates should reside within approximately one hour of the project location.
