GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Director of Adapted Athletics, the Assistant Strength Coach is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of all strength and conditioning workouts for each individual athlete in the Adapted Athletics program. The Adapted Athletics program provides opportunities for individuals to participate in a diverse offering of inclusive and adaptive athletics and recreation activities within the university at a variety of skill and ability levels. The primary focus includes three major goals: preventing injury, improving athletic performance, and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. The Assistant Strength Coach will assist with athlete evaluation & testing, program design and periodization, and risk management procedures and policies.
