Position: Spa Cosmetologist – Part Time

Schedule & Details
  • Status: Part Time
  • Compensation: 25%–28% commission (based on services performed)
  • Availability: Thursday–Saturday 10 AM–6 PM and Sunday 10 AM–2 PM

As a Spa Cosmetologist at Blue Harbor Resort, you’ll provide personalized beauty and skin‑care services that enhance guest confidence, comfort, and overall experience. In this role, you’ll perform a variety of cosmetology services—including skincare treatments, haircuts, blowouts, and nail services—while maintaining professionalism, safety, and guest satisfaction. What You’ll Do

Guest Service & Treatment Delivery

  • Provide high‑quality cosmetology services with a focus on guest comfort and satisfaction
  • Perform skincare, hair, and nail services safely and skillfully (as permitted under your license)
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all cosmetology services offered and execute them according to spa standards
  • Treat all guests with respect, courtesy, and professionalism

Guest Records & Product Guidance

  • Update guest information and treatment notes accurately
  • Offer knowledgeable product recommendations based on guest needs
  • Maintain confidentiality of all spa and salon records

Teamwork & Support

  • Assist fellow spa team members, providing value‑added service support when time allows
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders and the Spa Manager about guest needs and challenges

Safety & Sanitation

  • Keep workstations and equipment clean and sanitized in accordance with state regulations and spa standards
  • Maintain a safe, organized spa environment and follow all safety protocols

Time & Revenue Management

  • Prepare work areas before guests arrive and leave them spotless at the end of your shift
  • Keep products stocked and workstations ready for the next appointment

Professional Growth & Participation

  • Maintain a professional image in attitude, communication, and presentation
  • Participate in spa team meetings, educational events, and professional development opportunities
  • Support spa initiatives and special projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Cosmetology License required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and sanitation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Availability Thursday–Sunday (as noted above)
  • Dual classification as a Massage Therapist is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Frequent bending, stretching, and reaching
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs
