Overview
The Email & Content Marketing Specialist at Velocity and its portfolio of brands owns the execution and optimization of our email marketing program while supporting marketing copy across campaigns, website content, and digital initiatives.
This role is both analytical and creative. Responsibilities include managing email campaigns and lifecycle marketing in HubSpot, managing audience segmentation and maintaining database health, and writing clear, compelling marketing copy that supports product launches, events, inventory promotions, and customer engagement.
The Email & Content Marketing Specialist will collaborate closely with the digital marketing team, creative team, brand marketing leadership, and external partners to ensure all communications are aligned with Velocity's brand voice and marketing strategy.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and a strong writer who understands how effective email marketing and clear messaging contribute to lead generation, customer engagement, and sales.

Duties and Responsibilities
Email Marketing & Lifecycle Management
  • Build and deploy marketing emails within HubSpot including templates, segmentation, automation workflows, and campaign performance tracking.
  • Own the day-to-day management of Velocity's email marketing program in HubSpot.
  • Plan and deploy email campaigns including product launches, inventory announcements, event promotions, and customer communications.
  • Develop and manage lifecycle marketing flows such as lead nurture sequences, follow-up campaigns, and post-purchase communications.
  • Manage audience segmentation and contact lists to ensure accurate targeting and personalization.
  • Maintain database health through list management, segmentation strategies, suppression practices, and deliverability best practices.
  • Monitor email performance including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement metrics.
  • Provide reporting and performance insights to marketing leadership to improve campaign effectiveness.

Marketing Copywriting & Content
  • Write marketing copy for email campaigns, nurture sequences, and promotional communications.
  • Develop website copy including landing pages, event pages, and vehicle inventory descriptions.
  • Write blog content that supports SEO initiatives and brand education.
  • Assist with copy development for product launches and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Provide supporting copy for digital marketing initiatives including social media captions and promotional materials as needed.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with Velocity's brand voice and tone across all marketing channels.

Campaign & Marketing Support
  • Support execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, web, and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to align messaging with campaign visuals and overall campaign direction.
  • Work closely with digital marketing leadership to ensure email campaigns support broader marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging across Velocity and its portfolio of brands.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement through personalization, segmentation, and campaign optimization.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing email campaigns in HubSpot including segmentation, automation workflows, and performance reporting.
  • Strong marketing copywriting skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
  • Understanding of email segmentation, list management, and lifecycle marketing.

Education Background and Experience

  • Experience writing marketing copy for digital campaigns, websites, and blogs.
  • Experience in automotive, luxury, lifestyle, or enthusiast-driven industries is a plus.
