Job description

Job Summary:
he Role:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the security department and staff within the venue. Duties may also include management functions under the direction of the Security Manager and Operations Manager.
Job Functions:
* Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
* Greet guests as they enter and leave the event.
* Lead staff, ongoing staff training, staff positioning, ensuring that all staff members are well-informed on event specific details and managing breaks.
* Answer questions, resolve complaints, give directions.
* Assist the Security Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department, as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
* Secure assigned post locations.
* Report suspicious activity and violations of venue policy.
* Monitor crowd behavior and maintain/restore crowd control throughout venue.
* Respond to guest conflicts and other incidents.
* Complete incident reports when necessary.
* Assist with evacuations and other crowd management duties.
* Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into venue.
* Role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities.
* Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Able to pass a criminal background investigation.
* Available to work nights and weekends (May-September).
* Position requires standing for 6 or more hours and in outside weather conditions.
* Have a positive attitude and present a professional image.
* A strong-sense of teamwork
