Job description

Job Responsibilities   Do you have a passion to provide meaningful work in the community. Job Duties: The ES Administrative Assistant Child Care Licensing performs a variety of secretarial and/or administrative duties; to apply written and unwritten policies to perform varying task that have significant impact on the operation of the office; to use knowledge of program and general office procedures to make independent decisions concerning processing of information and materials and establish procedures to assist supervisory personnel. Provides administrative support to Child Care Licensing Regional Supervisor and staff; prepares correspondence, serve as receptionist for Regional Office by receiving visitors, answering telephones and screening and directing calls to appropriate staff; answering general questions from the public regarding licensing of childcare facilities. Coordinates use and maintenance of State vehicles; processes accident reports.

Coordinates orientation of new providers. Processes and submits invoices for payment; order supplies. Receives, opens, dates, stamps incoming mail and routes to appropriate staff; prepares outgoing mail; handles incoming and outgoing faxes; maintains office equipment.

Other related duties, as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements High School Diploma. Associate Degree or higher may be preferred for select positions.
